Privacy notice

Last updated 21 July 2026

This site is run by Adrian Makowski, trading as Website in 48 — a sole trader based in Coventry, West Midlands, UK. This notice explains what happens to the information you choose to send me. Plain English, no surprises.

What I collect

Only what you type into the enquiry form and choose to send: your name, business name, email address, an optional phone number, and your message. I don't use tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

Why I collect it

Solely to read your enquiry and reply to you about a possible website — nothing else. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, together with my legitimate interest in responding to people who contact me.

Who processes it

The form is delivered to my inbox through Formspree (Formspree, Inc.), which handles the submission on my behalf and forwards it to me. Email is handled by Google (Gmail / Google Workspace). I don't sell or share your details with anyone else, and I don't send marketing.

How long I keep it

For as long as we're in contact about your project, and for a reasonable period afterwards for my records. If we don't end up working together and you'd like your enquiry deleted, just ask.

Anonymous analytics

I use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to count page visits. It doesn't identify you and doesn't track you across other websites.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask me to show you the data I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email adrian@makowski.co.uk and I'll sort it out. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
